Aptus

Centennial’s Aptus offers a wide array of applications from a single network-based platform, including Hosted-PBX, Business Trunking and Web Conferencing.
Voice-over-Internet-Protocol, also called VoIP is the routing of voice conversations over the Internet or through any other IP-based network.

VoIP services appeal to users because of the ability on the part of the caller to dynamically access, set and re-set phone-related data such as call features, call logs, directories, contact lists, with the computer from any location in or outside the office.

Centennial’s service provides carrier-grade interoperability, back-office capabilities and redundancy. Aptus is generally available with no or minimal capital expenditure in equipment or other resources, and the monthly-recurring charges easily scale to users’ requirements over time.

Features and Components
Aptus is presently available to business customers in two main varieties: Aptus Basic and Aptus-PBX.

Aptus Basic is centered on the telephony needs of individual users in small companies or in multiple small locations within medium or large organizations.

Aptus-PBX emulates a fully-functional PBX within the Centennial network. Optional Receptionist services provide for a specialized receptionist console for answering and handling incoming calls with utmost efficiency. The Auto Attendant also available as an optional feature can be fully customized to your particular needs during, as well as after, regular office hours. Like the Receptionist, the Auto Attendant may cover all locations within your company.

In combination with Aptus, or as a stand-alone service, Centennial Web-Conferencing opens immediate opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity through collaboration via telephone and computer. The service complements standard audio-conferencing services with a web-based meeting organizer and chair-person tool to plan, schedule, initiate, conduct and record conference calls, at a significantly lower cost than most users pay today for basic audio-conferencing.

Benefits
The business benefits of Centennial’s VoIP product line abound, regardless of the telephone systems your organization may currently be using:

• Make your office telephony functions location-independent; same functions IP-PBX features through a hosted solution that delivers enterprise-wide, web-based features with carrier grade reliability and scalability.
• Minimal capital expenditure in equipment, software and personnel resources; Centennial hosts your telephone system, while you maintain the exact level of control you deem necessary.
• Free calls from location to location within your organization.
• Easily-scalable infrastructure; deploy services to fill immediate needs only, but know you can scale up or down instantly, as requirements change.
